Cankat Guenel is a composer and multi-instrumentalist known for his diverse and dynamic approach to film and television music. A self-taught musician, he blends a wide range of genres, often incorporating the traditional sounds of the Saz and Lavta, along with the guitar. Starting with the Saz at the age of 7, he brings a unique perspective to his compositions, merging classical, modern, and traditional music styles in a true crossover approach.

Over the years, he has composed music for a variety of projects across different mediums, from documentaries to narrative films. In addition to his solo work, Cankat has contributed as a session musician to compositions / productions by Hasan Ozsut, Sven Faulconer, and Lorne Balfe (Collection by Audio Network). His work has earned recognition, including a nomination for a Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA) in the Documentary category. His music is characterized by its versatility, seamlessly integrating elements of world music, traditional influences, and contemporary sound design.
